Import your DEGIRO portfolio into PortFolk
Import your DEGIRO trades into PortFolk with the account statement in CSV: purchases, sales, costs and dividends, without linking the account or copying anything by hand.
The file you need
The account statement as CSV, exported with DEGIRO set to Italian. PortFolk reads the trades from the Description column («Acquisto 10 … @ 95,12 EUR (ISIN)»), whose wording changes with the language.
How to export the file from DEGIRO
- 1Log in to DEGIRO in the browser, with the language set to Italian.
- 2Open Activity → Account statement (Attività → Estratto conto).
- 3Pick the period: from the account's opening to today, to get the whole history.
- 4Export as CSV.
How to import it into PortFolk
- 1Export the file from DEGIRO, as described above.
- 2In PortFolk open Assets → Transactions and press Import.
- 3Pick DEGIRO as the broker, upload the file and generate the preview.
- 4Check the preview: each row's ticker and currency, since the same ISIN can be listed on several exchanges, and the rows skipped with their reason. You can leave out rows you do not want.
- 5Confirm: the trades enter the portfolio and prices update.
What is imported
- Purchases and sales, with quantity, price, currency and ISIN.
- Transaction costs, added to the order they belong to.
- Dividends.
What is skipped, with the reason
- Dividend withholding tax, not imported yet.
- Cash transfers, withdrawals and interest on cash.
- Rights issues and delistings.
What you see after the import
- The portfolio's value in euros, also with securities in other currencies.
- What the portfolio actually returns: money-weighted (XIRR) and time-weighted, against a benchmark.
- Dividends and coupons received and those to come, in a calendar.
- Allocation by class, instrument, sector and region, and the gap to your targets.
- An estimate of capital gains and losses, stamp duty and IVAFE year by year in the Italian tax report (Premium plan).
Frequently asked questions
Does DEGIRO's «Transactions» export work?
You need the account statement: it also holds dividends and transaction costs, which the transactions list lacks.
Why must DEGIRO be in Italian?
Trades are described in words in the Description column, and PortFolk recognises the Italian wording, such as «Acquisto» and «Vendita». In another language the rows are not recognised.
Do I have to link my DEGIRO account or give my credentials?
No. PortFolk does not connect to the broker: you upload a file you exported from DEGIRO, and you can check every row before confirming.
Can I import another broker too?
Yes: import each broker's file and the trades add up in the same portfolio.
How many trades can I import on the free plan?
The Free plan goes up to 10 instruments and 120 transactions in total; Premium has no limits. Before you confirm, the preview tells you how many rows fit the limit.
What if the file is not read?
Check that you exported the file described above without changing it. Otherwise you can copy the trades into PortFolk's CSV or Excel template and import that.
