Import your Fineco portfolio into PortFolk
Import your Fineco trades into PortFolk with the Excel export of the securities movements: purchases, sales, dividends and coupons, government bonds included.
The file you need
The Excel export (.xls or .xlsx) of the securities movements. PortFolk looks for the table that starts with the columns Operazione, Data valuta and Descrizione.
How to export the file from Fineco
- 1Log in to Fineco on the website.
- 2Open the list of movements of the securities account and pick the period to import.
- 3Download the list in Excel (.xls or .xlsx) and upload it unchanged.
How to import it into PortFolk
- 1Export the file from Fineco, as described above.
- 2In PortFolk open Assets → Transactions and press Import.
- 3Pick Fineco as the broker, upload the file and generate the preview.
- 4Check the preview: each row's ticker and currency, since the same ISIN can be listed on several exchanges, and the rows skipped with their reason. You can leave out rows you do not want.
- 5Confirm: the trades enter the portfolio and prices update.
What is imported
- Purchases and sales (rows «Compravendita titoli» with sign A or V).
- Dividends and coupons.
- BTP, BOT and CCT recognised as bonds.
What is skipped, with the reason
- Other movement rows, skipped with their reason in the preview.
What you see after the import
- The portfolio's value in euros, also with securities in other currencies.
- What the portfolio actually returns: money-weighted (XIRR) and time-weighted, against a benchmark.
- Dividends and coupons received and those to come, in a calendar.
- Allocation by class, instrument, sector and region, and the gap to your targets.
- An estimate of capital gains and losses, stamp duty and IVAFE year by year in the Italian tax report (Premium plan).
Frequently asked questions
Are BTPs bought on Fineco recognised as bonds?
Yes: securities whose name starts with BTP, BOT or CCT, or with an Italian government bond ISIN, are classed as bonds. You can still check each row's class in the preview.
Should the file be .xls or .xlsx?
Either works. There is no need to convert it to CSV.
Do I have to link my Fineco account or give my credentials?
No. PortFolk does not connect to the broker: you upload a file you exported from Fineco, and you can check every row before confirming.
Can I import another broker too?
Yes: import each broker's file and the trades add up in the same portfolio.
How many trades can I import on the free plan?
The Free plan goes up to 10 instruments and 120 transactions in total; Premium has no limits. Before you confirm, the preview tells you how many rows fit the limit.
What if the file is not read?
Check that you exported the file described above without changing it. Otherwise you can copy the trades into PortFolk's CSV or Excel template and import that.
